Social Media, Video, And More

The new study highlighted in our Top Story this week, “Large-Acreage Growers Actively Using New Media,” really caught my attention — and I suspect yours, too.

Did you notice the percentage of these particular growers in the corn and soybean sectors that are texting, tweeting, and otherwise touching base with news sources and others inside and outside the industry? A whopping 62 percent, according to the just-released Agriculture New Media Usage Study from Nicholson Kovac, Inc. I don’t know how that compares to other industries, but I find that to be a very impressive number. And we all know that’s going to continue to grow in the next few years.
