Safety Is A Fertile Topic
March 12, 2008 Fertilizer industry leaders are increasing their strong support of a national ag safety program.
Agrium, Inc., has increased its support and Terra Industries, Inc. and Lange-Stegmann Co. are new financial contributors to the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day, part of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation (PAF).
In 2007, Safety Days reached more than 76,000 children and adults during a record 350 local events, where participants learned how to be safe and healthy on farms, ranches and at home.
The work of PAF closely ties to the "Shelter-in-Place" safety efforts of Agrium, Inc. "Shelter-in-Place" helps educate people of the steps to take during a hazardous materials emergency. In addition to financial support of Safety Day events, Agrium also is one of five sponsors of PAF’s new methamphetamine awareness curriculum.

Lange-Stegmann Co., St. Louis, Mo., the parent of AGROTAIN International, shares this philosophy and commitment to safety.
