Pioneer Premiums Times Seven
December 4, 2007 Growers in seven states will have more opportunities to market their soybeans for a premium.
Selected elevators in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Missouri are offering growers expanded options to earn special premiums for soybeans during the 2008 season. For example, more than 40 locations throughout Ohio are offering up to a 60-cent premium per bushel for low linolenic soybeans from Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business.
In conjunction with the premium program, the Bunge DuPont Biotech Alliance is marketing TREUS low linolenic soybean oil, produced with Pioneer brand low linolenic soybean varieties, to help meet increasing consumer demand for nutritious foods. Additionally, TREUS offers food companies and the foodservice industry an innovative nutritional ingredient solution to eliminate or reduce trans fats in their products.
Additionally, contract growers are eligible to earn a 20% rebate on DuPont Asana XL, Assure II, and Punch crop protection products used on their 2008 Pioneer low lin soybean contract acres.
