MACA Looks To The Future

"Building Your Future" is the theme for the 2009 MACA Annual Meeting Sept. 8-10 at the Marriott West Hotel, St. Louis, MO. The following speakers are scheduled to present:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 8. Barry Flinchbaugh, former Kansas State university economist, will open the meeting on Tuesday afternoon by addressing the topic, "What can we expect from Washington in 2010?"
  • Wednesday, Sept. 9. Reed Murphy, Commerce Bank will present a special seminar on "Your Personal Finances — What Can You do in These Times?". In the afternoon, golf is available in the afternoon for those who have completed their meetings. Golf will be at the Pevely Farms Golf Club.
  • Thursday, Sept. 10. Dr. Steve Johnson, former head of the U.S. EPA, will address "What does the Obama Administration Mean for the Midwest Environment? What will be the key changes and impact?" Industry awards will be presented following Johnson’s presentation. The program ends with a panel presentation entitled "Ag Credit in 2010 — The Rest of the Story." The panel will feature Dave Sparks, Co-Bank; Tom Levasseur, RaboBank; and Travis Vogler, U.S. Bank.
