Dow AgroSciences Helps Flood Relief Efforts

In response to the Red River flooding disaster taking place in North Dakota, Dow AgroSciences is donating $25,000 to flood relief efforts.

According to a company press release, the donation is through The Dow Chemical Co. Foundation. The money will be given to the North Dakota Farm Bureau Foundation to be donated and disbursed by its board members who are also Dow AgroSciences’ customers. The funds will go to key agencies helping the agricultural community in its recovery from this devastation.

“The flooding in North Dakota is tragic on many levels as people have lost their businesses, homes, and possessions. It is important to us to help in times of need such as this,” says Stan Howell, vice president of North America, Dow AgroSciences. Brian Timmerman, district sales manager, Northern Plains, adds that “partnering with communities where our employees and customers live and work is a tradition at Dow AgroSciences, and our thoughts are with those impacted by the flooding.”

“The floods that hit many parts of the state have shown the people of North Dakota’s sense of resolve, determination, and community,” says Eric Aamundstad, North Dakota Farm Bureau Foundation president. “People have rolled up their sleeves to help people they don’t even know. With this generous donation from Dow AgroSciences, we keep that spirit of determination and volunteerism alive by providing the tools for these communities to rebuild.”
