About United Ag

United Ag, which began as Farmers Cooperative of El Campo (FCEC), was formed by the consolidation of El Campo Farmers Cooperative (1929) and Modern Farmers Cooperative Society (1928). The purpose of the consolidation was to enable increased operational efficiency and reduce duplication of services to better serve the farmer members of the area’s agricultural community. In 2012, FCEC merged with another cooperative, Danevang Farmers Cooperative, for many of the same reasons.  The name was changed at this time to United Agricultural Cooperative, Inc. to better reflect the broad customer base and geographical area served by the co-op.
