GROWMARK To Acquire Indiana Seed Company

Regional agricultural cooperative GROWMARK intends to purchase the assets of Select Seed, Camden, IN. The transaction is expected to close by May 1.

Owned and operated by the Eggerling family, Select Seed is a third generation, family business. Select Seed’s proprietary brand is sold through more than 100 active farmer dealers in Indiana, southern Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky.

GROWMARK, Inc. is a cooperative providing agriculture-related products and services, as well as grain marketing in 31 states and Ontario, Canada. GROWMARK owns the FS trademark which is used by affiliated member cooperatives. The company is currently ranked No. 2 on the CropLife 100.
