Elder Named COO Of Landmark Services Cooperative

The vice president of health and safety at the Cottage Grove, WI-based Landmark Services Cooperative has been promoted as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer. Mike Elder will work closely with CEO Bob Carlson in overseeing all cooperative operations including safety, environmental health and the Landmark Logistics division.

“We are pleased to name Elder as chief operating officer,” says Carlson. “His hands-on experience and commitment to the success of our members will help our cooperative continue to enhance our producers’ profitability, exceed our customers’ expectations and keep our cooperative financially strong.”

Elder joined Landmark in 2003 following its merger with Union Cooperative. Most recently, he played an integral role in the planning process for Landmark’s grain shuttle loading facility in Fall River, while overseeing health and safety procedures for Landmark’s 19 locations in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
