BRANDT, a leading agriculture retailer and manufacturer of agricultural specialty products, has announced it will sponsor three races in the Phoenix Racing No. 51 Chevrolet driven by Justin Allgaier in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2013.

On August 28, Harry Scott, Jr. announced a definitive agreement to purchase Phoenix Racing from James Finch. Scott takes control of the team on September 10 and will immediately turn to BRANDT and Allgaier for the team’s NASCAR Sprint Cup debut. Headquartered in Springfield, IL, BRANDT will sponsor Allgaier, a Riverton, IL, native, at their home track, Chicagoland Speedway, on September 15 to honor the company’s 60 NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship point standings, will continue to run the full-time Nationwide schedule.

BRANDT will be the primary sponsor on three of the ten NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase races in 2013. In addition to the GEICO 400 at ChicagoLand Speedway on September 15, BRANDT will also be a primary sponsor at the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 12 and the Camping World RV Sales 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on October 20.

With sales in 49 states and 44 countries, BRANDT is celebrating 60 years in business as a family owned agriculture company.

“What we have accomplished in 60 years is something everyone at BRANDT is extremely proud of,” said Rick Brandt, President and CEO of BRANDT. “We want to celebrate this milestone, but also ensure the future growth of the company. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will provide high profile business and marketing opportunities as we continue to expand both locally and globally.”

Having been a sponsor in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for three years, BRANDT is looking forward to the bigger stage that the Sprint Cup Series affords. Research shows that more than 27% of the American population and 44% of agriculture professionals watch NASCAR Sprint Cup racing.

“We are doing this for one simple reason: To grow business and to grow our brand,” explained Brandt.

The 27-year-old Allgaier is looking forward to the challenge of competing with the world’s best stock car drivers.

“I can’t tell you how excited I am about this opportunity,” said Allgaier. “To represent a company from my home town at our hometown track in the biggest racing series in the world is a thrill of a lifetime. Let’s keep this going for another 60 years!”
