BRANDT Sponsors Justin Allgaier In NASCAR Cup Series

BRANDT, ranked No. 21 on the CropLife 100, has announced it will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 51 Chevrolet SS driven by Justin Allgaier in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The terms of the agreement include primary sponsorship for 21 races over the 2014 season with Allgaier behind the wheel.

The move to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series supports the company’s aggressive growth strategy.

“We sell agriculture products in 48 states and in 44 countries,” said Rick Brandt, President and CEO of BRANDT. “And we fully expect this sponsorship to support those sales efforts by dramatically expanding our brand footprint.”

“We are currently growing in all divisions and all areas of the business,” continued Brandt. “Whether by acquisition or organic expansion both domestically and internationally, we have set goals to expand and continue to be an agricultural leader. Moving up the ranks to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series aligns with our corporate strategy to grow and move forward.”

Over the past three years, BRANDT has sponsored Allgaier in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, where he drove the BRANDT Professional Agriculture No. 31 for Turner Scott Motorsports. 2014 marks a shift to be the primary sponsor for 21 races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with Harry Scott Jr, owner of Phoenix Racing. This year will mark the first full season of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition for Harry Scott Jr, after purchasing Phoenix Racing in the fall of 2013.

“We are excited to have BRANDT as our cornerstone sponsor on the 51 car,” said Harry Scott, owner of Phoenix Racing. “We have developed a great working relationship across the whole BRANDT team and I look forward to having a great Sprint Cup Series season with them on the car and Justin behind the wheel.”

The sponsorship marks the fourth year that BRANDT has supported Riverton, IL-native Justin Allgaier.

“I could not be more proud to represent BRANDT, a leading company that’s headquartered about 13 miles from where I grew up, as we make the leap to the world’s premier stock car series,” said Allgaier. “I am humbled and honored to carry the BRANDT flag against such stiff competition. The 43 drivers in the Sprint Cup series are the best of the best — to be in that group, running for Rookie of the Year is an absolute dream come true.”

“The entire BRANDT team is excited about moving to the next level,” explained Brandt. “We looked long and hard at this opportunity and ultimately we decided that we needed the broader footprint that the Sprint Cup Series affords us to drive our business forward. This is about taking our brand to the millions of fans who watch the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.”

Joining the BRANDT brand on the car are the brands of The National FFA, TradeMark Nitrogen, Nutrients for Life Foundation, Precision Tank and Grigg Brothers. Together, the sponsor brands are supporting the only true ag-focused car in the Sprint Cup Series.

“We are proud to help field the ‘Ag’ car,” said Brandt. “This is an effort to raise awareness and build a positive reputation for agriculture of all kinds. We believe passionately that agriculture is the essential industry and we’re doing our part to get that message out.”

The 2014 season will kick off on Sunday, February 23 at Daytona International Speedway with the 56th running of the Daytona 500.
