This Small Town Is Big On Ethanol

Galva Holstein Ag, LLC’s E85 location in Ida Grove, IA, has surpassed the sale of 50,000 gallons in one year. That’s especially impressive when you consider that the city’s population is only 2,350.

Galva Holstein Ag’s two E85 nozzles at 600 Highway 175 in Ida Grove began dispensing E85 in late February 2007, according to the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC). The formal grand opening event was held on April 11, 2007. Open 24 hours a day, the Cardtrol station is the company’s second E85 facility. To date, the Galva facility has pumped more than 130,000 gallons of the clean-burning, alternative fuel.
