Ethanol Industry Tapped As ‘Promising’

The ethanol industry has representatives on Forbes Magazine’s “Most-Promising Alternative Energy Companies” list.

"A recent Forbes Magazine article has named South Dakota-based ethanol production giant Poet LLC and Denmark’s enzyme producer Novozymes two of the eight most-promising alternative energy companies in the world," Ethanol Producer magazine reports. "Other companies in the wind, solar and oil industries also made the list. As well, battery makers who focused on the hybrid automobile also made the list.”

According to Ethanol Producer, Novozymes was recognized for its claim to contributing to the commercial-scale production of second-generation ethanol by 2010.
