cropNAtion App Now Available

Today’s growers are so busy increasing their productivity to meet the needs of a growing world that they don’t have time to sit and visit with their neighbors like they used to. However, there is still great value in building relationships, sharing information, and asking for advice.

cropNAtion, the social media platform for agriculture which launched in 2011, allows farmers and ranchers to connect with each other whether they are across the country or across the section.

The platform can now be accessed on smart-phones with a dedicated application, available in the Apple iTunes store and Google Play (formerly known as the Android Marketplace).

The application makes it even easier for users to send and receive on the go information. After creating a profile, users can share details about their operations, ask and answer questions, upload photos and videos, and access the latest markets and weather conditions.

“We saw a need for farmers and ranchers to have a ‘virtual coffee shop’ – a place where they could ask questions, share stories and photos, and cultivate relationships,” said Jim Spradlin, GROWMARK vice president, agronomy. “GROWMARK is pleased to sponsor this site, which we hope will be fed by farmers everywhere.”

Anyone with an interest in North American agriculture may register for and use both the free website and mobile application. More information is available here.
