It’s Product Of The Year Voting Season

As the summer weather has waned, all the signs of fall are rapidly appearing. Leaves are starting to change, a decided chill is in the night-time air and Halloween decorations are beginning to materialize.

In addition to these sure signs of autumn, political signs are also springing up, encouraging voters to elect (or re-elect) local, state and federal officials. Here at CropLife magazine, we are also getting in on the election game as votes are now being cast for the 2014 CropLife IRON Product of the Year.

Started seven years ago by sister publication CropLife IRON, the Product of the Year trophy honors the one piece of ag retail equipment deemed the most exciting/innovative by our readers. As in past years, the 2014 slate of candidates all possess notable features and credentials to be worthy of being considered for the honor. This year’s nominees include the R4045 from John Deere, the STS Series sprayer from Hagie Manufacturing, the SX280 from Buhler-Versatile, the Patriot 4440 from Case IH and the NITRO 5000 Series from Miller-St. Nazianz. Between now and Halloween night, readers can visit our voting page to cast their ballots for what they believe is the best qualified among these finalists to receive the 2014 trophy.

As I stated a few issues ago in CropLife IRON magazine, one of my favorite moments as editor each year is the chance to announce the winner of the ShowStopper Award at the annual Midwest AG Industries Exposition (MAGIE) show. However, a close second is when I present the Product of the Year award at one of the early winter trade shows.

So good luck to all five nominees in the coming weeks as the voters decide. And may the best product win! VOTE NOW >>
