“Nebraska is a market of growing importance and interest to us and the opportunity to combine our business with a strong local operator like Craig Bair will be beneficial for both parties,” said John P. Thacher, Wilbur-Ellis Co. president and CEO.
Speaking on behalf of Ag Flight, president and owner Craig Bair stressed the importance of joining forces with the right company. “Wilbur-Ellis is a respected participant in the U.S. and Midwest agricultural market and its considerable resources will allow us to provide a broader product offering and expanded services, enhancing the high level of individual customer service that we have built our business upon,” Bair says.
Michael Thomas, Wilbur-Ellis Co. vice president and Northern Plains business unit manager identified Ag Flight’s long-standing customer relationships as a key consideration in pursuing the acquisition. “Craig Bair has a fine reputation for serving his customers very well and we feel that bringing his business together with ours will create an even stronger organization,” Thomas says.
Thomas commented further that “Ag Flight will become part of the Northern Plains Business Unit, and Craig Bair will report to Troy W. Johnson, Midwest area business manager and work closely with Greg Krech, aerial operations manager, SD, and Michael Karasiewicz, director of business development as we continue the development of our retail market in Nebraska.”
