GROWMARK Summer Interns Named

In the 55th year of the program, 53 college students are exploring career opportunities as GROWMARK summer interns. They are working at FS member cooperatives in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana and Ontario, Canada; as well as GROWMARK FS, LLC; MIDCO Commodities, Inc.; and the GROWMARK corporate office in Bloomington, IL.

The interns are exposed to accounting, marketing, communications, and product and service-related activities.

The group attended an orientation program at the GROWMARK corporate office in May, and will reconvene in June for an agribusiness tour. Each intern will complete a special project and deliver a presentation on that project in August.

“We are excited to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the GROWMARK internship program!” said Ashley McClintock, GROWMARK university relations manager. “The program continues to be a key component in identifying and retaining top talent into the GROWMARK System.  Students gain hands-on experience and have the opportunity to clarify career goals, while we get exposed to the best and brightest university students.”  The GROWMARK intern program began in 1959 with three interns. Since then, 945 students have been involved in the program.
