Gar Tootelian Foundation Donates Half Million Dollars to Local School

Students at Immanuel Elementary are looking forward to the first day of school for two reasons this year. One, they will get to meet new classmates and the other is they will be the first to step foot in a brand new state-of-the-art classroom. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held to celebrate the grand opening of the new K-6 elementary school campus on August 16 at 8 A.M. The Gar & Esther Tootelian Charitable Foundation will also be honored at the ceremony for its $500,000 gift to Immanuel’s Capital Campaign.

“We are truly excited to be part of Immanuel’s plans to grow and enrich our community for the future. Esther was a teacher and I know she would be thrilled to see the new campus prepare students for the future,” said Karen Musson, Gar & Esther Tootelian Charitable Foundation CEO.

The project includes: K-6 classrooms, library and media area, a multi-purpose building, and enhanced student drop off areas. The Foundation gift will also help develop Ag literacy programs that will include the addition of “GAR’s Garden”.
