Former PotashCorp COO Joins BRANDT Board

BRANDT has announced the appointment of another industry veteran to its board of directors. David Delaney, most recently EVP and Chief Operating Officer of PotashCorp, will bring more than 30 years of experience in global agriculture and chemicals to the BRANDT organization.

Joining 12 other directors, Delaney was elected today by the BRANDT shareholders at their annual meeting.

Delaney boasts a history of driving growth and transforming businesses. He spent more than 20 years at PotashCorp, working most recently as COO of the $7.2 billion fertilizer enterprise with responsibility across operations including all of Potash’s business segments. Before that role, he was President, Sales where he led the centralization of the global sales function.

“I am excited to join the BRANDT board,” Delaney said. “I see this as an opportunity to provide additional leadership and help set direction for one of the industry’s fastest-growing companies. I look forward to bringing my experience to the BRANDT board and the company overall.”

Board committee responsibilities are still being determined for Delaney.

“From the employee level up to the Board level, our goal is to attract and retain the best and the brightest. And that’s the best across all industries,” said Rick Brandt. “That statement describes Dave. I’ve known him as an industry colleague for a long time and I’ve been impressed with him since the first day I met him.”

Delaney is active on a number of boards and industry groups. He has served as chairman of the Fluid Fertilizer Association and Phosphate Chemicals Expert Association; he was director for the International Plant Nutrition Institute.

Delaney resides in Lake Forest, IL, with his wife Kelley and three daughters.
