CHS Opens New Agronomy Center In Dixon, NE

CHS celebrated the grand opening of its new agronomy center in Dixon, NE, on November 9, 2016.
A sun-kissed autumn day lured area farmers away from harvest long enough to attend the November 9 grand opening of a new CHS agronomy center in Dixon, NE. In addition to a lunch of slow roasted smoked brisket, guests took guided tours through the new facility which will feature storage for some 6,000 tons of dry crop nutrient storage and 1.2 million gallons of liquid fertilizer. Also on-site is a warehouse for bulk crop protection products and offices for agronomic services supporting area farmers.
Dixon County Supervisor Jerry Schroeder welcomed attendees, followed by comments from Lynden Johnson, executive vice president and chief operating officer, CHS Country Operations; Gary Halvorson, vice president, CHS Farm Supply; and Jeff Friedrich, general manager, CHS in Wausa.
Attendee and area grower Roger Kvols noted how impressed he was to hear from CHS leadership and find they talked about the same priorities for the local farmer that his CHS agronomy rep, Kraig Charron, had been relating. “It’s rare today to see senior leadership so aligned all the way to the frontline. CHS is definitely a company I feel comfortable doing business with.”
CHS General Manager Friedrich stressed the importance of clear communication between growers and staff, ensuring the critical link to understanding of every farm operation’s unique needs and fostering a relationship built on trust.
