BRANDT Welcomes Nutrients For Life Foundation To No. 31 Ag Car

Brandt Racing CarBRANDT (No. 21 on our annual CropLife 100 rankings) has announced the Nutrients for Life Foundation is joining the No. 31 BRANDT Chevrolet Ag car, driven by championship contender Justin Allgaier in the NASCAR Nationwide Series 250 at Richmond International Raceway. The Nutrients for Life Foundation joins The National FFA Organization, Precision Tank & Equipment and Trademark Nitrogen as the fourth partner on the No. 31 Ag car in an effort to build awareness of the critical contributions of agriculture to the world’s economy and food supply through the NASCAR Nationwide Series platform.

In 2012, BRANDT is leading an initiative to put an “all agriculture” car on the track, helping to spotlight the hard work and dedication that powers agriculture into a crucial global industry. The primary goal of The Nutrients for Life Foundation is to provide science-based educational resources to help educate people about the benefits of fertilizer.

“Our roots are in the fertilizer industry, and with foundations such as Nutrients for Life we can be assured a bright future,” said Brandt. “There are many misconceptions about fertilizer and the Nutrients for Life Foundation does a wonderful job both in the classroom and in public educating on the benefits of fertilizers. With a growing world population, fertilizers are essential to help maintain and grow a healthy world food supply,” Brandt added.

Justin Allgaier, along with members of BRANDT and Nutrients for Life, will be making a special classroom visit in the Richmond area with students who are participating in a car design contest themed “Racing to Feed the World”.  The winner will be selected by Allgaier.

”We are proud to join BRANDT on the No. 31 Ag Car for the Richmond NASCAR race,” said Nutrients for Life Foundation Executive Director Harriet Wegmeyer. “Crop nutrients are critically important to feeding the world and are essential not just to agriculture, but everyone. On a daily basis we work with students and educators across the country to inform them about crop nutrients and why we use them. Our partnership with BRANDT helps to extend the reach of our message.”
