  • Herbicide
Use: A selective preemergence or early postemergence herbicide used at low rates. Carefully consider crop rotation plans before using. Controls broadleaf weeds, annual ryegrass in Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). Pre- or postemergence to crop for some annual grasses in wheat, barley, durum, oats. Chlorsulfuron selective and nonselective for noncropland.

Chemistry
Class: Sulfonylurea.
Properties: Odorless, white, crystalline solid. Melting point 174-178°C. Slight solubility in methylene chloride, acetone, methanol, toluene, and hexane.
