Action/Use:
  • Rodenticide
Use: For control of rats, mice, gophers, ground squirrels, moles, prairie dogs, voles.
Chemistry
Formula: Zn3P2.
Properties: Gray powder with high melting point. Disagreeable odor. Stable when dry. Reacts violently with acids to form (>400°C) phosphine gas (PH3). Insoluble in alcohol; reacts with acids or more slowly with water.
