Use: Postemergence for most broadleaf weeds, some annual grass weeds in barley, wheat, fallow, triticale, pastures, rangeland, and noncropland.

Common Name(s): Metsulfuron-methyl (ANSI, ISO, BSI, WSSA)
Chemistry
Class: Sulfonylurea.
Properties: Faint, sweet ester-like, white-to-pale yellow solid. Melting point 158°C. Soluble in acetone, methanol, and methylene chloride. Slightly soluble in hexane.

Mode of Action: interferes with an enzyme, resulting in rapid cessation of cell division in both roots and shoots
