Chemistry
Properties: Tech: Colorless to straw-colored liquid; pungent, sweet penetrating odor. Boiling point 104°C; specific gravity 1.211 (25°C). Vapor pressure 28 mm Hg (20°C). DD-92* soluble in hydrocarbon, halogenated solvents, esters, ketones.

Toxicity: DD-92* (Rat): Oral LD50 127 mg/kg; Dermal LD50 423 mg/kg. Severely irritating to skin, eyes, upper respiratory tract. Telone*: Oral LD50 224 mg/kg (female); 300 mg/kg (male). Inhalation LC50 904 (female); 855-1035 (male). (Rabbit): Dermal LD50 333 mg/kg
Handling/storage: Avoid eye, skin contact. Wash well before eating, drinking, smoking, and after work. Do not contaminate food, feed, drugs, domestic water, seeds, plants, fertilizers, or other pesticide chemicals. Do not ship or store with food, feed, drugs, or clothing. Avoid heat, open flame; do not flame-cut or weld containers. Do not handle or store in containers made of aluminum, magnesium, or alloys of these metals. Store in tightly closed original container in cool, well aired, secure area away from dwellings, or food. Outside, store drums on sides to avoid accumulation of rain water in recessed areas
Product/waste: Triple rinse containers and dispose of rinsate in field just treated. After aeration dispose of containers by state or local approved procedures. Do not pollute surface or underground water supplies
Protective Clothing: Coveralls over short-sleeved shirt and short pants. Chemical-resistant gloves. Shoes plus socks. Chemical-resistant apron when cleaning equipment, mixing, or loading. Chemical-resistant headgear for overhead exposure. Approved respirator.
