TFI Elects New Chairs, Slate Of Directors

The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) has announced the election of James T. Prokopanko, president and CEO of The Mosaic Co., to serve a two-year term as chairman of the Institute’s Board of Directors. In addition, the board tapped Cheryl Schmura, vice president of crop nutrients for CHS Inc., to serve a two-year term as vice chairman. Prokopanko and Schmura were elected at a February 4 TFI Board of Directors meeting held in conjunction with the 2014 Fertilizer Marketing and Business Meeting in San Diego, CA.

TFI’s board also elected the following new board members for three year terms: Nicholas Adamchak of Ameropa North America, Inc.; Tom Bayliss of Eldon C. Stutsman, Inc.; Jordan Burns of Tessenderlo Kerley; Daryl Gates, Morral Companies, LLC and Jason Woulfin of SQM North America, Corp.
