Syngenta Exits Sorghum Seed Business

Syngenta has formed an agreement with Golden Acres Genetics, Ltd., Waco, TX, to transfer all existing Syngenta sorghum seed inventory to Golden Acres effective as of June 3, 2011. The agreement covers all Syngenta sorghum hybrids, including forage, grain and sudangrass products.

“We’re pleased that Golden Acres is acquiring Syngenta’s sorghum inventory and will continue to provide farmers with high-quality hybrid sorghum seed,” said Steve Sick, Syngenta sorghum product manager.
