Novozymes BioAg Expands Sales Team

Novozymes BioAg has bolstered its field sales team with the addition of four field sales representatives whose mission is to educate retailers and farmers on the value of beneficial biofertility and bioyield enhancement technologies.

The new sales representatives are:

  • Gene Maulding for New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas
  • Brad Meckle for Montana, western North Dakota and Wyoming
  • Sylvester Miller for eastern Iowa
  • Tom Mortimer III for Illinois

Gene Maulding comes from Wilbur-Ellis, where he was a branch manager in Muleshoe, TX. He began his career conducting research on cotton for Delta and Pine Land Co., now a part of Monsanto. Maulding has a bachelor’s degree in ag economics from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in crop science from Texas Tech University. He is located in Muleshoe, TX.

Brad Meckle worked for EMD CropBioscience, purchased in 2010 by Novozymes. His previous positions were with Pulse USA, Great Plains Feedlot in Mandan, ND, the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, and Farmers Union Oil Co. in Washburn, ND. Meckle has a degree in farm and ranch management from Dickinson State University. He will be based in Center, ND, where he operates a small crop farm and cattle ranch.

Sylvester Miller previously worked in the crop protection and seed divisions of Syngenta. Miller has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business from the University of Kentucky, and is based in Clive, IA.

Tom Mortimer has served Illinois farmers for the past seven years through his insurance business. Prior to his move to Illinois, he managed an agricultural insurance office in central Nebraska. Mortimer has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Bellevue University in Omaha, NE, and is a member of the Army National Guard. Mortimer is located in Bolingbrook, IL.

The team provides support to growers and agricultural and seed retailers who use Novozymes biofertility products such as JumpStart, Optimize and TagTeam LCO, and bioyield enhancers including Torque and Ratchet to enhance plant health and crop performance.
