Monsanto Promotions Named
September 24, 2008 Some personnel changes have been made at Monsanto Canada:
Monsanto Canada has appointed Lisa Safarian as president and general manager of its Canadian business operations. A 20-plus-year Monsanto veteran, she also will serve on Monsanto Co.’s global commercial leadership team. She replaces Sean Gardner, who has relocated to St. Louis, MO, to head Monsanto’s global chemistry business.
Ten-year Monsanto Canada veteran Cory McArthur has been named marketing director for canola and crop protection, replacing Norm Sissons, who was recently appointed to the position of global product manager within Monsanto’s Seminis vegetable business. McArthur will also be part of Monsanto’s Canadian Leadership Team.
Jennifer Bailes takes on the chemistry business manager role, replacing McArthur.
Neil Arbuckle has moved into the newly created role of canola business development lead.
Cornie Thiessen is now in the role of DEKALB business manager for Western Canada, replacing Arbuckle.
