Attendees recognize Exceed the Seed as the premier event to build relationships with industry executives and attain a vision of future seed production strategies. A corn production research manager who has attended the event every year said he looks forward to the presentations from innovators and scientists, new unique technologies and data unavailable at the university or supplier level.

Speakers represented AgBiome, Kaiima, Monsanto BioAg, Plant Response, Smartfield, Syngenta and Vestaron. Topics included trends in seed treatments, new biological and traditional technologies, plant breeding strategies and disruptive crop sensing technology.

The event concluded with a panel discussion organized by law firm Bryan Cave, which assembled seed company and technology professionals to address challenges to commercializing new seed technologies. The panel discussed the seed company process for evaluating and applying new technologies to their products. They also analyzed the regulatory process and data needed to validate these emerging technologies.

“The Exceed the Seed Symposium is the industry’s first opportunity to learn about new technologies in seed production to improve crop yields and sustainable farming practices,” says Jerry Duff, AgriThority Founder and President. “The Symposium has continued to gain momentum as the industry embraces the impact these new technologies have on agriculture.”
