Becker Underwood Introduces New Employees

Becker Underwood has added four new employees. Two have joined the company’s U.S. product development team, focusing on the eastern and southern U.S. The others have filled marketing positions.

  • Dr. Jim Beuerlein joins Becker Underwood as Technical Advisor – Seed Enhancement Biologicals after spending the previous 39.5 years as a Professor of Agronomy at Ohio State University. He is recognized as one of the most respected soybean inoculant researchers in the United States. Dr. Beuerlein will provide technical support and input on research as well as design projects for the seed enhancement biological research and development group.
  • Justin Clark joins Becker Underwood as a Field Development Specialist – Seed Enhancement Biologicals for the southern and eastern United States. His work will focus on the company’s rhizobia-based and other biological-based products.
  • Russ Berndt is named Product Manager – Inoculants and will be responsible for leading inoculant product marketing efforts in the United States. Previously, Berndt was employed by McCormick Company. He also spent more than 20 years in communications and product management positions at Pioneer Hi-Bred International. He fills the position previously held by Charlie Hale who recently was named as the company’s U.S. Marketing Lead.
  • Fernando Lopez fills the newly created position of Global Strategic Marketing Liaison. Lopez is responsible for ensuring a coherent and consistent marketing strategy on a global basis and will coordinate marketing efforts among the company’s global operations. He was previously employed by BASF.
