AgriThority Adds Seed Technology Expert

Recognized internationally as an expert in seed treatment technology, David Jackson has joined AgriThority LLC with 40 years of crop development and protection experience to the team’s research capabilities and project management services. With the addition of Jackson, who is based in the U.K., AgriThority now operates in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia, providing the global agribusiness industry with independent field and clinical research, data development, crop system development, product development and technology transfer services. Besides his new activities with AgriThority, Jackson remains a principal with SeedTech Consulting, Ltd., where he will maintain relationships and fulfill responsibilities with his clients.

Jackson had a 35-year career with the Crop Protection Division of Chemtura Corporation (formerly Uniroyal Chemical) where he was responsible for the development of new seed treatments as well as the coordination of all technical support programs in the company’s global seed treatment business. Jackson was a member of the Seed Treatment & Environmental Committee (STEC) and represented Chemtura on industry working groups within the International Seed Federations (ISF) and European Seed Association (ESA) promoting the benefits of seed treatment.

Jackson graduated with honors from the University of Bradford in 1968. He holds a BTech degree in Applied Biology, majoring in Plant Pathology, and earned GCE ‘A’ Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Before embarking on his career with Chemtura (Uniroyal Chemical), Jackson spent five years with Murphy Chemical Company.

Operating internationally, AgriThority serves companies in crop and animal agriculture, horticulture, and allied industries by developing field and clinical data studies, best product use and management practices, product positioning and technical message development and delivery. The company also is an independent resource for the extension of product data, best management practices (BMPs) and other technically based information to farmer-producers, nutritionists, veterinarians, PCAs, crop consultants, farm managers, and others who make high-value business decisions.
