How To Scout For Corn Earworms In Corn

Jill Scheidt, agronomy specialist with University of Missouri Extension in Barton County, recently scouted fields south of Lockwood near Hwy. 97 for the crop scouting program. As part of her weekly scouting report, Scheidt took this video on how to scout corn earworms in corn. These pests are cannibalistic in nature so you usually only see one per ear, according to Scheidt. In this video you can see the larger worm attacking the smaller one.
