AMVAC Names Midwest Marketing Manager
January 6, 2012 Joe Short, a marketing and sales executive with more than 15 years of experience in agricultural sales, marketing and product management, has joined AMVAC Chemical Corp. as Marketing Manager for the Midwest.
Short will be responsible for AMVAC’s corn soil insecticide portfolio, including Aztec, Counter and SmartChoice soil insecticides, as well as Impact corn herbicide and the SmartBox closed handling and application system.
Prior to joining AMVAC, Short worked in sales, marketing and product management posts for several crop protection companies, including United Suppliers Inc., Valent USA, FMC Corp. and Dow Elanco. He also has extensive experience in the animal health and nutrition industry, including product management and sales positions with Alpharma Animal Health, Roche Vitamins Inc. and Rhone Merieux Animal Health.
