Award Recognizes Innovation In Crop Protection

CropLife America (CLA) has launched the new CLA Information Technology Innovation Award. The award, held with support from AgGateway, recognizes companies and organizations in the crop protection industry that embrace technological advancement in modern agriculture. The award identifies outstanding companies and organizations that have utilized information technology and benefitted as a result, whether it be improved business processes, increased profitability or cost-effective savings, or improved customer/supplier relations. CLA member companies from all aspects of the crop protection industry, including manufacturers, formulators and distributors, are able to participate.

CLA serves as the voice of the crop protection industry in the U.S., and its members produce, sell and distribute virtually all the crop protection products used by American farmers. AgGateway is a non-profit consortium of businesses serving the agriculture industry. The consortium helps member companies improve their profitability and productivity by educating, promoting and expanding participation in eBusiness in agriculture and agriculture-related businesses.

“Innovation and technology are driving components of modern agriculture, and our members embrace these new tools and practices on a daily basis in their business products’ operations,” said Jay Vroom, president and CEO of CLA. “We are excited to have this opportunity to work with AgGateway and recognize our members for their use of the newest information technologies and contribution to modern agriculture. This award is a great platform to recognize the agricultural community for adopting modern solutions to combat old problems, which often translate to cost savings for companies and lower prices for consumers.”
