SFP Names New National Sales Manager, Adds Sales Support Staff

SFP has promoted Reggie Underwood to national sales manager. Underwood is now responsible for overseeing the execution of all sales strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.

“Reggie brought a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to SFP and has proven highly successful,” says Larry Sanders, Ph.D., SFP’s president and CEO. “His strong leadership and dedication to agriculture will play an integral role in the success of SFP’s reach to increase fertilizer efficiency and the bottom line of growers.”

In his position as southwest regional account manager, he was responsible for sales and product education as well as building relationships with customers, distributors and retail partners in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona.

Extending SFP’s domestic representation, Andrew Gordon has joined SFP as eastern corn belt assistant regional account manager. He adds additional support in a high demand region where he is responsible for product sales, distributor relations and technical assistance.

Reggie Underwood, National Sales Manager
Prior to joining SFP, Underwood served 18 years as a district sales manager and regional business manager with various companies. He worked in sales and managerial roles for Ciba-Geigy (currently Syngenta), Helena Chemical Inc. and Albaugh Inc., working with farmers, ranchers and agri-retailers across the U.S. Underwood fulfills his entrepreneurial spirit as a store partner with his daughter in their ARK Country Store in Waxahachie, TX, which is recognized as an expert and premier store for Purina and has grown substantially since they assumed ownership.

Underwood received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Tarleton State, a branch of Texas A&M. Underwood is involved with the Texas Ag Industries Association (TAIA), National Independent Crop Consultants Association and works with the youth through local FFA and 4-H programs.

Andrew Gordon, Eastern Corn Belt Regional Account Manager
Prior to joining SFP, Gordon served two years as crop consultant with Crop Production Services and three years in agronomy sales with Harvest Land Coop. Additionally, he is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).

Gordon received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and associate’s degree in agronomy from Purdue University.
