“I am excited about the challenge of heading Ostara’s nutrient management team,” says Carmody.  “Having an opportunity to market a unique product such as Crystal Green that not only helps to preserve a finite resource but is also environmentally responsible feels like the right thing to do.”

Carmody has 15 years of experience in the fertilizer sales industry. He was Manager of Regional Sales for The Scotts Co., ProTurf division.  As Midwest Sales Manager at Pursell Technologies, he managed sales for the company’s polymer-coated fertilizer and, most recently, at Great Salt Lake Minerals, he managed sales and business development of potassium sulfate for the agriculture, turf, organic and industrial markets.

As Vice President, Agronomy, Dan Froehlich will be based in Minneapolis, MN, and will lead global trials with Crystal Green.

Froehlich has worked with the agricultural/fertilizer industry for more than 25 years and has extensive background in agronomy and phosphate fertilizers. Most recently, while at Mosaic Co., Dan developed and managed the strategy for new product innovation and high yield systems.

“An opportunity to be involved with a product such as Crystal Green is a rare proposition, and one that I am extremely excited about. The prospect of the product, and its unique qualities is an ideal fit for my years of experience in agronomy,” says Froehlich.

“As Ostara prepares to increase production of Crystal Green, we are aptly armed with a strong fertilizer team in place to take us to the next level,” says Abrary. “Marketing a unique niche product such as Crystal Green requires innovative thinking and a strategic approach. With Dan’s research background and Ed’s sales experience, I feel we have the right team in place to help strategically market Crystal Green’s efficacy and performance in the turf, nursery and agriculture markets.”
