“Kyle’s passion for research helps farmers reap higher yields, and that in turn helps Mosaic fulfill its mission to help the world grow the food it needs,” said Rick McLellan, Senior Vice President at The Mosaic Co. “We congratulate Kyle on his success and anticipate that his efforts to promote balanced crop nutrition will continue to benefit global agriculture for many years to come.”

Freeman joined The Mosaic Co. in 2011, and leads teams dedicated to developing products and strategies that help increase crop yields. He also manages more than 600 small-plot research trials worldwide and serves the industry on the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) advisory board and Fluid Fertilizer Foundation board of directors.

Freeman also advises two of the six farmers involved in the Mosaic Pursuit of 300 program, which fosters dialogue around the intricate aspects of high-yield corn systems. In addition, he regularly shares his agronomic expertise with farmers and retailers on the Mosaic CropNutrition.com blog.

Vance’s 40 Under 40 Award winners represent all aspects of agriculture — from animal and crop production, biotechnology and university researchers to food and nutrition technology, agricultural equipment and agronomy.
