Charah Hires Jake Simons, Promotes Jonathan Duke

Charah, Inc., a total solutions company providing service and innovation for the coal-fired electric utility industry, announced today that Jake Simons has joined the team as Sales Manager of Agricultural Products, as of December 2013. He is based in Bloomington/Normal, IL, and is responsible for sales in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin and national accounts for SUL4R-PLUS and other Charah agricultural products.

Simons has more than 10 years of experience in agriculture related industries, previously working in sales and service for AGCO Farm Equipment and Oxbow Fertilizer Co. He has an Associates Degree in Fire Science and is an Emergency Medical Technician.

In addition, Charah announced Jonathan Duke has been promoted to Manager of Sales Support and Logistics for SUL4R-PLUS product and other Charah agricultural products. Duke joined Charah in 2012 as Sales Manager where he successfully helped launch SUL4R-PLUS product service, sales and customer support. In 2013 he was promoted to Manager of Sales Support and Logistics for SUL4R-PLUS product, focusing on value-added customer service, barge, rail and truck logistics and inventory management. He is a graduate of Mid-Continent University with a B.S. in Business Management. A native of Paducah, KY, Duke has experience in sales, logistics and customer support as well as legislative affairs. He currently serves on the Public Policy board of the Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) and directs Charah Inc. PAC.
