ShowStopper On The Prowler

At any annual Midwest AG Industries Exposition (MAGIE), there is plenty of flashy and big ag equipment for attendees to touch, drive and experience first-hand. However, at the end of the day, most visitors to the fairgrounds in Bloomington, IL, tend to talk about that one product they saw that absolutely was the most exciting. This year, that product was the E350 Prowler from GVM Inc., which won the 2010 MAGIE ShowStopper Award.

“I’m honored to receive this award on behalf of GVM,” said Tom Ulrich, engineering manager, accepting the award. “We couldn’t have made this product so special without the input of our customers.” This was the second ShowStopper Award for GVM, which previously won in 2008 for its Predator unit painted in patriotic colors.

Features of the Prowler E350 include 32 inches of crop clearance, an 1,800-gallon liquid tank, a 11-ton dry box and a 350-hp Cummins Tier III engine. New extras include an air-ride cab with a larger windshield for full operator vision of the front tires, an electronic monitoring system to provide machine diagnostics and variable coil suspension to absorb more travel shocks.

Also standard on all E350 Prowler models is GVM’s AgriWave and AgJunction systems. These allow machine directors back in the office to view machine position, engine and flow control data. In addition, these systems can allow GVM service personnel to remotely dial into the machine for troubleshooting purposes.
