2013 National Farm Machinery Show: The Future Of Agricultural Equipment
The future of farming came to the 48th National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY. Here's a sampling of the latest agricultural equipment on display.
The 16-ton, pull-behind Big Shot spreader rides on Camoplast Flexhaul tracks. The Big Shot features a 102-inch wide, #304 stainless steel hopper; bolt-on hopper design; "easy set" adjustable material divider, which allows fine adjustment in spread pattern (fertilizer or lime); 24-inch dual disc, dished spinners mounted on a #304 stainless steel undercarriage; a 30-inch wide belt over chain; a material sensor on the gate; and a PTO driven hydraulic pump. The spreader is set up to run off a Can Node Control system and closed-loop spinner control. Optional features include a Raven Viper control system, Plug ‘n Go to tractor hydraulics, and a roll tarp.
