2012 MAGIE ShowStopper Award Plays Patriot Games

Perhaps it’s appropriate, given that it’s an Olympic year. One year after officially debuting at the 2011 Midwest AG Industries Exposition (MAGIE) show, the Patriot 4430 self-propelled sprayer has capped off an award filled first year. In 2011, the unit was named the Product of the Year by readers of CropLife IRON, taking home the top trophy at the annual Agricultural Retailers Association meeting. To top this off, the Patriot 4430 was named the 2012 winner of the annual ShowStopper Award at the 2012 MAGIE show, capturing 22% of the 263 votes cast by attendees for “the most showstopping product at this year’s show.”

“I would like to thank all the visitors that voted for the Patriot 4430 and Jenner Sales, our distributor that features Case IH products at the MAGIE show, for doing such a wonderful job of making our products look so good at its exhibit,” said Mark Burns, marketing manager, application equipment for Case IH, when accepting the honor.

The Case IH Patriot 4430 sprayer is the first sprayer to join the Case IH Efficient Power family, which includes Titan floaters. It features a Case IH FPT 8.7-liter engine rated at 325-hp. In addition, the Patriot 4430 uses Selective Catalytic Reduction technology to meet EPA Tier 4A compliance while providing fuel efficiency and power.

The Patriot 4430 also features an enhanced Surveyor cab design with 132-cubic-feet of interior space and more than 90-square-feet of total glass for better visibility. The cab may be equipped with the optional AFS Pro 700 display with both guidance and application control functionality.

“The ShowStopper Award was started as a way to acknowledge the hard work that not only goes into making some of the finest products in the ag equipment industry, but how these brands are received by their target audiences,” said Eric Sfiligoj, editor of CropLife IRON. The award is cosponsored by CropLife IRON and the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association, which hosts the MAGIE show. This year marked the 6th time a ShowStopper Award has been given to the “most talked about” product at the MAGIE show.
