United Cooperative Awards $20,000 In Scholarships

Twenty graduating high school seniors throughout Wisconsin receive $1,000 scholarships based on leadership, scholastic achievement and goals.

The Beaver Dam-based United Cooperative, (No. 34 on the CropLife 100) has announced the names of 20 graduating high school seniors that will receive $1,000 scholarships.

The winners were chosen from a large number of applicants this year. To be eligible, students and/or their parents had to be patron members of United Cooperative. Applicants must also attend an accredited college, university, or technical school and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Students were judged on their leadership skills, scholastic achievement, extra curricular activities, motivation, and academic and personal goals.

Winning scholarship recipients include: A.J. Kitchen, Beaver Dam; Alexander Yost, Omro; Alyssa Hantzsch, Baraboo; Amber Zimmerman, Fox Lake; Ashley Ainsworth, Shawano; Ashley Toll, Eldorado; Ashley Zastrow, Horicon; Austin Renz, Poynette; Bailey Fernau, Ripon; Bo Dixon Bingen, Brownsville; Bob Hofacker, Appleton; Bradley Henken, Burnett; Cayla Hantzsch, Baraboo; Enan Zelinski, Ixonia; Erin Sorge, Baraboo; Kaitlin Fuhrman, Tigerton; Logan Schmidt, Lone Rock; Morgan Strauss, Helenville; Travis Luxton, Hillpoint; and Tyler Kovalaske, Waterloo.

All applications are judged by the Wisconsin Federated Youth Foundation.
