The World Of Tomorrow
CropLife's redesigned Website aims to improve functionality for the ag retailer of today and tomorrow.

Back when I was in elementary school, there were many times when our class would enjoy "Movie Day." But instead of some Hollywood-produced work of fiction, most of these "movies" were educational films, highlighting everything from how plants grow to documentaries on the World's Fair.
Actually, this last one is what has stuck with me all these years later. I remember the booming voice exclaiming "Welcome to the world of tomorrow - what the 21st century will be like." The film then went on to talk about flying cars and supersonic means of transport, allowing passengers to travel from New York to London in a few hours.
Of course, now sitting comfortably in the 21st century, neither of these predications have come to pass (especially good in the case of flying cars, given how poorly the drivers I've seen tend to do with four wheels on the ground!). Furthermore, none of these films about the future ever talked about a world where information would fly fast and freely via computers and smartphones on a global basis on the Internet.
With this rapidly evolving new world in mind, CropLife magazine has undertaken an effort to improve its Website, which officially launched earlier this week. With an eye towards the world of tomorrow, we've made the site more searchable, populated it with numerous industry videos and provided links to some of our most popular features in our print version, such as the CropLife 100 listings.
A few weeks back, we invited several industry friends to view our new site and let us know what they thought of it compared with our older offering. Here are a few of their comments:
- "I really like your 'Most Viewed,' which draws me in because these items must be popular for some reason."
- "I enjoyed the Crop Protection Database, along with the searchable feature of the CropLife 100."
- "I like the tiered links at the top of the page, and that your audience can see at a glance what each of the main links contains."
