Website Provides Urea Facility Tours

AGROTAIN International, a leading producer of Stabilized Nitrogen fertilizers, has launched its Urea Center showcase website, www.UreaCenterTour.com.

The new website provides news, pictures, and exclusive video tours of the St. Louis Urea Center, the nation’s first and largest inland urea import terminal; and the Stabilized Nitrogen Center, the nation’s first urea manufacturing plant using phase modification. AGROTAIN International and its parent company, Lange-Stegmann, introduced both centers in a recent open house extravaganza.

Built to meet the growing demand for imported urea, the St. Louis Urea Center provides 63,000 tons of fertilizer storage and allows customers to use the facility as an extension of their own supply network, providing affordable access via train or truck to urea fertilizer from around North America.

The Stabilized Nitrogen Center has a production capacity at 125,000 tons annually to fulfill the growing demand for SUPERU, UMAXX, and UFLEXX Stabilized Nitrogen fertilizers. As the first phase-modifying urea plant in the U.S., the facility uses a falling curtain granulation process for enhanced quality control and production efficiency.

Both facilities are strategically located in St. Louis on the northernmost portion of the Mississippi River that remains lock- and ice-free, ensuring year-round access to and from the country’s agricultural heartland by road, rail and river transport.
