If you’re charged with retail facility security, the upcoming chemical security summit has you in mind.
The 2nd Annual Chemical Sectory Security Summit will be held July 21-23 at the Bethesda North Marriott in Bethesda, MD. Hosted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council (CSCC), the event is designed for industry professionals in the chemical sector that are involved in corporate and facility security.
Topics for the summit include discussions regarding the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), cyber security, Homeland Infrastructure Threat and Risk Analysis Center, industry practices, and state and local issues. Workshop and breakout sessions will allow attendees to better understand the new security landscape and will provide networking opportunities with DHS officials, industry peers, and security experts in the field.
Registration is by e-mail, according to the Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA), and attendees should note their membership in ARA in the registration application. Supply the following information for each attendee to firstname.lastname@example.org:

• Phone phone number
• Whether you agree to have your name, organization and title included in the attendee list (yes or no)
• Whether the attendee is a priority registration or to be placed on the waiting list
