Spreaders: Bigger, Faster, Better
There will be plenty of new spreaders and product upgrades for retailers to see at this summer's equipment shows.
40 PTT-FT EXW spreader, Chandler Equipment
The new 40 PTT-FT EXW spreader features Chandler's new Walking Beam Tandem Axle, flotation tires and wider spread patterns (80 feet for fertilizer, 60 feet for lime). It has a capacity of 12 tons fertilizer and 16 tons lime, with application rates from 50 pounds per acre to over 800 pounds per acre of fertilizer — and from 500 pounds to over 4 tons per acre of lime — at ground speeds up to 14 mph. This rig is designed for the applicator who is not yet ready to step up to a big self-propelled flotation machine but already has 200 to 300 hp tractors available and needs something larger than average pull-type spreaders.
